Disclaimer to the English translation of the Terms & Conditions: All applicants must consent to the Japanese version of the
Terms and Conditions (利用規約) in order to apply. The following English translation has been made to assist those who may not be entirely literate in Japanese, made by a person familiar with the language, but not a professional translator.
Thus, this English translation merely serves as a supplement to the Japanese version. Where discrepancies exist, the original Japanese
version shall serve as the base to resolve any discrepancies.

These Terms and Conditions apply to participation in the Holiday Program (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) organized by EtonHouse (hereinafter referred to as “EtonHouse”). By submitting an application, the applicant or participant (collectively referred to as “Participant”) and the Participant’s guardian (hereinafter referred to as “Guardian”) are deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

Article 1: Application

  1. Applications for the Program must be submitted by the Guardian. If online application is not possible due to internet restrictions, proxy applications may be accepted. However, EtonHouse bears no responsibility for any disadvantages caused to the Participant or Guardian due to discrepancies in proxy applications. EtonHouse reserves the right to cancel any application or participation deemed inappropriate due to such discrepancies.
  2. If the Participant has food allergies, underlying or chronic conditions, or a medical history, the Guardian must assess the risks (e.g., severe allergic reactions or complications from COVID-19) and consult with a physician before applying. If physician approval is obtained, the Guardian must submit written confirmation to EtonHouse. EtonHouse is not liable for any complications that may arise.
  3. Even if the Participant is healthy, the Guardian must assess the risk of severe illness from infectious diseases and determine suitability for participation. EtonHouse is not liable for any resulting illness or complications.
  4. EtonHouse may refuse applications under the following circumstances and is not obligated to disclose the reasons:
    • If the Participant’s medical history or current condition is deemed unsuitable
    • If participation may disrupt the smooth operation of the Program
    • Due to operational reasons on EtonHouse’s part
  5. If the Guardian does not understand Japanese, it is their responsibility to fully understand these Terms and Conditions before applying. These Terms and Conditions are written in Japanese, and all applicants are responsible for understanding them, regardless of language ability.

 

Article 2: Email Communication

  1. All communication regarding the Program will be sent to the email address provided at the time of application. EtonHouse is not responsible for any failure to receive emails or damages caused by missed or unconfirmed information.

 

Article 3: Cancellation

  1. If any information provided by the Guardian is found to be false, EtonHouse may cancel the reservation or contract.
  2. If the Guardian places unreasonable demands on staff, EtonHouse may cancel the reservation or contract.
  3. If the Participant becomes ill or injured during the Program and is deemed unfit to continue, EtonHouse may cancel their participation.
  4. If the Participant violates Program rules or causes harm to others or EtonHouse, or disrupts the Program’s operation, EtonHouse may cancel their participation without disclosing the reason.
  5. The Program may be canceled due to emergencies declared by the government or public health authorities.
  6. In cases of cancellation under clauses 1–5, no compensation will be provided, and EtonHouse is not obligated to disclose the reason.
  7. If the number of participants is too low, EtonHouse may cancel the Program and issue refunds.

 

Article 4: Admission Criteria

  1. If there are behavioral or learning concerns, they must be clearly stated on the application form.
  2. If such concerns are not disclosed, EtonHouse reserves the right to cancel participation without refund.
  3. Participants must cooperate with any required pre-assessments.
  4. Admission decisions are made by EtonHouse and are final. If a child is deemed unfit during assessment, a full refund will be issued.

 

Article 5: Handling of Personal Information

  1. Personal information provided will be used for communication and Program-related services.
  2. EtonHouse complies with privacy laws and will not share personal information with third parties except in the following cases:
    • To protect life, health, or property when consent cannot be obtained
    • When legally requested by government or public health authorities
    • When otherwise legally permitted
  3. Information about other participants (e.g., who has applied or which week they are attending) will not be disclosed.

 

Article 6: Photos and Videos

  1. By agreeing to these Terms, the Participant and Guardian consent to the use of photos and videos taken during the Program for promotional purposes.
  2. If the Guardian does not wish for such media to be used, they must contact office@etonhouse.co.jpand submit a designated form by the deadline. If the Participant is not clearly identifiable (e.g., back view, side profile), EtonHouse may still use the media.

 

Article 7: Waiting List

EtonHouse does not accept waiting list requests, and individual notifications will not be provided in the event of a vacancy.

 

Article 8: Snacks & Meals

  1. Guardians are responsible for providing snacks and lunches each day.
  2. Nuts and nut-based products are strictly prohibited in the Program.

 

Article 9: Changes to Activities and Schedule

Activities and schedules may change without prior notice due to weather conditions or participant interests.

 

Article 10: Cancellation and Schedule Change

Once the registration form has been submitted, cancellations and schedule changes will not be accepted under any circumstances, including illness, injury, visa issues, or accommodation problems.

 

Article 11: Non-Transferability and Program Change Policy

  1. Participation is non-transferable and may not be assigned to another individual.
  2. Changes to a different program or deferrals to the following year are not permitted.
  3. Switching between English and Mandarin programs, or between the regular summer program and the package plan, is not allowed.

 

Article 12: Accommodation, Transportation, and Pick-up/Drop-off

Accommodation, transportation, and pick-up/drop-off are not included in the program fee and must be arranged by the guardian.

 

Article 13: Parking and Drop-Off

  1. Parents shall not park on the road in front of the campus, in accordance with traffic regulations.
  2. EtonHouse does not provide a drop-off service.

 

Article 14: Items that are left behind

  1. EtonHouse will not ship any items left behind to the Guardian’s home. Guardians are responsible for collecting lost items directly from the campus.
  2. Any items left unclaimed for more than one month may be disposed of by EtonHouse without prior notice to the Guardian.

 

Article 15: Force Majeure

EtonHouse is not liable for damages, delays, or non-performance caused by natural disasters, accidents, third-party actions, infectious diseases, or other events beyond its control. No refunds or compensation will be provided.

 

Article 16: Disclaimer

EtonHouse is not responsible for:

  • Damages caused by incorrect email addresses or improper email settings
  • Misunderstandings due to language barriers
  • Accidents caused by the Participant’s or Guardian’s negligence
  • Theft, mischief, or illness during the Program
  • Incidents beyond the coverage of EtonHouse’s insurance
  • Accidents caused by other participants not following instructions
  • Disputes between participants or Guardians
  • Loss or damage of personal belongings
  • Accidents in parking areas or around the venue
  • Delays due to traffic congestion
  • Allergic reactions
  • Illness or exposure to infectious diseases
  • Any other damages not attributable to EtonHouse

本規約は、EtonHouse(以下「EtonHouse」という。)が主催するホリデープログラム(以下「当プログラム」という)への参加に関する条件等を定める規約である。申し込んだ時点で参加希望者又は参加者(以下総称して「参加者」という)及び参加者の保護者(以下「保護者」という。)は、本規約の定めに同意したものとする。

 

（利用規約）

 

第1条　申し込み

  1. 当プログラムの申込みは、参加者の保護者が行う。申込み時、インターネットの規制等のため、オンライン申込が不可能な場合のみ、代理申請は認める。
    ただし、代理申請による申込内容の齟齬等に伴い、参加者、又は、保護者に不利益が生じた場合、EtonHouseは一切の責任を負わない。代理申請による申込内容の齟齬等に伴い、当プログラムの参加に不適切であると判断した場合、EtonHouseはいつでも、申込み、又は、参加を取り消すことができる。

 

  1. 参加者に食物アレルギー、基礎疾患、慢性疾患、既往症がある場合、保護者は、食物アレルギーによるアレルギー反応の重症化や新型コロナウイルス感染症等による重症化リスクの可能性も事前に把握の上、保護者の責任において主治医の了解を得る等をして当プログラムへの参加が適切であるか判断する。また主治医の了解を得た場合は、保護者はその内容をEtonHouseに書面で共有する。なお、参加者が重症化した場合、EtonHouseは一切の責任を負わない。

 

  1. 参加者が健康であっても、新型コロナウイルス感染症やその他の感染症による重症化リスクの可能性もあることを事前に把握の上、保護者の責任において当プログラムへの参加が適切であるか判断する。なお、参加者が感染又は重症化した場合、EtonHouseは一切の責任を負わない。

 

  1. EtonHouseは、次の事由に該当するときは、当プログラムへの申込みを受け付けない場合がある。 なお、EtonHouseは、参加を受け付けない場合、その理由を開示する義務を負わない。

 

  • 参加者の過去の既往症又は現在の心身の健康状態その他の事由により当プログラムの参加に不適切であるとEtonHouseが判断した場合
  • 当プログラム運営の円滑な実施を妨げるおそれがあるとEtonHouseが判断した場合
  • EtonHouseの業務上の都合がある場合

 

  1. 保護者が日本語を理解できない場合は、保護者の責任においてこの規約の内容を理解して申込みをする。

这些条款和条件是以日语制定的,所有申请人都有责任理解这些条款和条件,无论他们是否会说日语。

 

 

第2条　メールでのご案内

  1. ホリデープログラムに関するメールの送信先は、申込み時に記載された保護者のメールアドレス宛とする。なお、EtonHouseが同メールアドレス宛に発送したときは、保護者に参加通知メールが到達しない場合もその責めを負わないものとする。発信された情報の確認漏れや未確認により生じた損害について、EtonHouseは一切の責任を負わない。

 

 

第3条　解約

  1. 申込みの内容その他保護者から提供された情報が事実と異なる場合、EtonHouseは予約又は本契約を解除することができる。

 

  1. 保護者がEtonHouseに対し、必要以上にスタッフを拘束した場合など合理的な範囲を超える負担を求めたとEtonHouseが判断した場合、EtonHouseは予約又は本契約を解除することができる。

 

  1. 当プログラム開催期間中に参加者が疾病、障害等により医師の診断や加療を必要とする状態となり、当プログラムへの参加が難しいとEtonHouseが判断した場合、EtonHouseは参加者の参加資格の取消し等の必要な措置を講じる。

 

  1. 当プログラム開催期間中に、参加者が当プログラムの趣旨・約束・禁止事項等に違反した場合、又は、他の参加者もしくはEtonHouseに損害を与える行為をした場合、又は、他の事由により当プログラムの円滑な運営を妨げるおそれがあるとEtonHouseが判断した場合、その他EtonHouseが必要と認めた場合、EtonHouseは、参加者の参加資格の取消し等の必要な措置を講じる場合がある。また参加資格を取り消した場合、EtonHouseはその理由を開示する義務を負わない。

 

  1. EtonHouseは、国、自治体の緊急事態宣言等、また、保健所の指導等により、プログラムを中止する場合がある。

 

  1. 本条第1項から第5項の事由により予約又は本契約が解約又は解除された場合、EtonHouseは解約又は解除に関する補償を一切行わない。 なお、EtonHouseは、解除の理由を開示する義務を負わない。

 

  1. 参加人数が少なく催行が難しいと判断した場合はEtonHouseがお申し込みをキャンセルすることがある。その場合は参加者に連絡をして返金の手続きをする。

 

 

第4条　受け入れの判断

  1. 参加者は行動面・学習面等において懸念がある場合は、申込用紙にその詳細を正確に記入することとする。

 

  1. 申込用紙に申告の記載がない、または申告内容が不十分な状態で参加した場合、EtonHouseは参加資格を取り消す権利を有し、その場合は返金は行われないことする。

 

  1. 参加者は事前のアセスメントに協力することとする。

 

  1. 参加の可否はEtonHouseが判断し、その決定に対して異議を申し立てないこととし、事前のアセスメントで参加不可と判断された場合には、参加費は全額返金されるものとする。

 

 

第5条　個人情報の扱い

  1. 当プログラム参加に際しEtonHouseに提供された個人情報は、参加者又は保護者との連絡に利用するほか、当プログラムに関し提供するサービスの手配及び受領その他当プログラムの実施に必要な範囲で利用する。
  2. EtonHouseは、個人情報保護法その他関連する法令を遵守し、以下のいずれかに該当する場合を除き、個人情報を第三者に対し提供しない。
  • 人の生命、身体又は財産の保護のために必要がある場合であって、保護者の同意を得ることが困難な場合
  • 国、自治体、公的機関、また、保健所から適法な照会を受けた場合
  • 法令上第三者提供が認められている場合

 

  1. 友達が申し込んだか、どの週に申し込んでいるか等の情報は他の参加者や参加希望者に提供しないこととする。

 

 

第6条　写真、動画

  1. 本規約に同意した時点で、参加者及び保護者その他の関係する者は、当プログラム開催期間中にプログラム会場で、当プログラムスタッフ又は業務委託先が参加者等を撮影した写真又は動画について、EtonHouseが広告等一切の媒体に自由に利用できることに同意したものとみなす。

 

  1. 保護者が参加者等の写真または動画の使用を希望しない場合は、office@etonhouse.co.jpまでご連絡の上、専用フォームを指定期日までに提出する。後ろ姿、横顔、遠目に映り込む場合など、EtonHouseが本人特定が困難と判断した場合は、EtonHouse、当プログラムスタッフ又は業務委託先はその写真又は動画を利用することができるものとする。

 

第7条　キャンセル待ち

EtonHouseはキャンセル待ちは受け付けず、また空きが出た場合に個別の連絡はしないものとする。

 

第8条　おやつおよび食事について

  1. 保護者はおやつと昼食を準備することとする。
  2. ホリデープログラムではナッツやナッツの加工食物の持ち込みを一切禁止する。

 

第9条　アクティビティ及びスケジュール等の変更

天候や参加者の興味や関心等により事前の予告なしにアクティビティやスケジュールに変更が生じることがあるとする。

 

第10条　キャンセルと日程変更

Registration formに記入し送信した後はいかなる理由でも(疾病、怪我、入国出来ない、ビザの問題、宿泊先の確保ができない等の理由を含む)キャンセル及び日程の変更を不可とする。

 

第11条　参加者の譲渡およびプログラム変更の禁止

  1. 参加の権利は譲渡できず、他の個人に割り当てることはできないものとする。
  2. 他のプログラムへの変更や翌年への振替は認められない。
  3. 英語プログラムと中国語プログラム間、または通常のサマープログラムとパッケージプラン間の変更不可。

 

第12条　宿泊、移動、送迎

宿泊、移動、送迎は料金に含まれず、また保護者が手配する必要がある。

 

第13条　駐車とドロップオフについて

  1. 保護者は交通法規に従い、キャンパスの正面の道路に駐車しないものとする。
  2. EtonHouseはドロップオフのサービスは提供しないものとする。

 

第14条　忘れ物

  1. EtonHouseは、忘れ物を保護者の自宅へ郵送しないものとする。保護者は連絡の上、EtonHouseで忘れ物の受け取りをする。
  2. 忘れ物が1か月以上引き取られない場合、EtonHouseは保護者への事前の通知なしに処分する。

 

第15条　不可抗力等

EtonHouseは、火災、地震、台風その他の自然災害、事故、第三者の行為、感染症等、EtonHouseの責に帰すことのできない事由により生じた損害及びサービス提供の遅延又は不履行について、一切の責任を負わず、返金又は損害賠償等の義務を負わない。

 

第16条 免責

EtonHouseは、以下の事項について、一切の責任を負わず、返金又は損害賠償等の義務を負わない。

  • 申込み時のメールアドレス誤入力又は受信設定その他原因を問わず、保護者がメールを受信できないことによる損害
  • 日本語が理解できないため、本規約、募集要項、メール及び電話等の内容に理解できなかったことによって生じる損害
  • 参加者自身又は保護者自身の故意又は過失による事故
  • 当プログラム開催期間中における盗難、いたずら、傷病
  • EtonHouseが加入する保険の補償範囲の限度を超えて発生した事故
  • EtonHouse又は当プログラムスタッフの指示に従わない他の参加者の行為により生じた事故
  • 参加者又は保護者同士のトラブル
  • 参加者又は保護者の所持品の紛失、損害
  • 盗難、持ち物の損傷
  • 駐車場や会場周辺での事故、トラブル
  • 交通渋滞等による当プログラムの遅延による損害
  • 食物アレルギーによる事故
  • 感染症等に罹患または濃厚接触者となった場合
  • 第15条に記載の事由による損害
  • その他のEtonHouseの責によらずに生じた損害
