Precautionary Measures for Infectious Diseases

  • Please check your children’s body temperature before coming to the summer school, anyone with a temperature of more than 37.5 degrees will not be allowed to join our summer school
  • Parents are required to monitor their children’s health at all times, if your child is unwell, please keep them at home and consult a doctor. Keep your child at home 24 hours free of fever before returning to the program.
  • It’s optional for children to wear a mask, however if they cannot manage it well our teachers shall remove and dispose of it right away. The temperature could go up very quickly at noon or in the afternoon and as a result, children may suffer from heat stroke if they are wearing masks. In that case, the teachers may advise children to remove their masks.
  • We recommend regular handwashing and gargling while your child is enrolled in the program.

Administration of Medicine

Prescription medications may be brought only if the Medication Authorization Form is completed in advance. This applies solely to medications that have been prescribed by a doctor for ongoing use. Please note that our staff are not able to manage prescription medications or administer over-the-counter drugs.

EtonHouse cannot be held responsible for any symptoms or outcomes resulting from the use of such medications. To minimize any potential risks, we strongly recommend that all necessary medications be taken prior to attending the program.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, the accompanying staff will call an ambulance and arrange for appropriate treatment based on their judgment. For minor injuries, staff will provide care and, if necessary, accompany the child to a nearby hospital.

Parents will be contacted immediately in the event of an accident. Any costs incurred, including transportation fees, will be the responsibility of the participant and will be billed at a later date.

Therefore, for families residing outside Japan, please ensure you have overseas travel insurance in place prior to departure that covers personal liability and outpatient medical expenses. We appreciate your understanding that EtonHouse is unable to provide assistance in this matter. However, here is an insurance option you may wish to consider.
