Ages: 15 months to 6 years
Located adjacent to Tokyo Midtown, our facility offers an exceptional learning environment that blends a quiet residential area with the seasonal beauty of Hinokicho Park and nearby museums, creating an oasis in the heart of the city.
Campus & Beyond the Classroom Learning:
Our five story building includes a private outdoor play area, indoor gym, and library. We actively extend learning into the surrounding neighborhood through regular excursions to nearby parks, shrines, museums, and galleries. Our location offers the ideal setting for children to immerse themselves in culture, creativity, and the natural world.
Empowering Young Learners Through Dual-Language Immersion:
Our Roppongi Campus provides a high-standard English environment enriched by Mandarin immersion. To ensure every child thrives, each class is led by two dedicated teachers: one English-speaking and one Mandarin-speaking. While English remains our primary focus, our students benefit from a naturally multilingual setting where they often graduate speaking two languages fluently. This dynamic, immersive approach provides a superior cognitive foundation for their development. Navigating two languages daily strengthens core executive functions such as task-switching, focus, and working memory.
Year Level Placement
Cut-off Date: 31st August
Children are placed in grade levels according to their age as of 31st August prior to entering the school year.

Placement Policy:
Our academic year runs from late August to mid-June, with an age cut-off date of 31st August. Final placement is determined after reviewing the student’s age, academic background, and social-emotional development.

Allison Banbury
Principal & Head of Tokyo Campuses
EtonHouse International School Tokyo
Allison is passionate about early childhood education and has dedicated her career to working with young learners. For over 25 years she has held senior leadership positions in schools in the UK and in Hong Kong, where she has lived for the past 12 years. Allison joins EtonHouse Japan after a four year tenure as the principal of a large international kindergarten.
She believes that young children should be protagonists of their own learning supported by teachers who intentionally plan engagements and environments that embrace children’s interests; build on their expertise; provoke thinking; and promote learning. She values play as a medium through which children can make sense of their world, and she recognises the importance of giving children time to explore, discover, think and learn. Allison is a team player and knows that working collaboratively builds strong and effective practice across a school. Being in a school with a strong sense of community is very important to her. She understands that a close partnership between home and school can have a profound impact on children’s self identity, sense of belonging and on their learning.
